To begin using BiblioTemps, you will:
Sign a temporary staffing agreement, entitling you to place requests for personnel.
Complete a Request for Personnel for each posting for which you need a BiblioTemp.
Meanwhile, BiblioTemps:
Interviews potential staff.
Conducts a CORI check, if needed.
Provides a brief orientation for staff focusing on principles, procedures and customer service.
Seeks the best match of skills and abilities with the request for personnel.
Sends you résumés to review and select from, or arranges interviews to meet your needs.
How it works:
When a good match is found, BiblioTemps contacts the Temp and offers the placement.
Once a placement begins, your site manager authorizes bi-weekly time sheets which are returned to BiblioTemps by the Temp.
BiblioTemps pays social security and unemployment taxes and insurance for the Temps.
Employers contact BiblioTemps to resolve concerns about the worker or her work.
The placement ends if:
You and the Temp are not mutually satisfied with the fit.
Your plans change (a five day notice is required).
BiblioTemps subscribes to these principles:
Great customer service.
Right to know: Temps pass no judgment on what people read, view or borrow.
Confidentiality for the intellectual property of your worksite.
