Developing Your Plan for Successful Career Growth and Advancement

This free session is part 2 of a 4-part series of career development webinars offered by Infopeople, the training arm of the California State Library. From the Infopeople website: “In this one-hour webinar, participants will learn a number of proven strategies to acquire new skills and be shown how to formulate a plan to attain those new skills or bolster the skills they already possess. They also learn how to successfully overcome some of the greatest barriers to career growth. Finally, they learn how to redesign their resumes to garner maximum impact.”

MLS Webinar: Massachusetts Career Information System (MassCIS)
Thursday, August 23, 1pm EST
Presented by BiblioTemps® Manager and MLS Advisor Kelly Jo Woodside, this free webinar from the Massachusetts Library System Continuing Education series will walk through key features of MassCIS, an online career information system available FREE to all state residents from the MA Division of Career Services.  Features included:

  • Careers and Occupations—in-depth profiles of hundreds of occupations, including a new section on green jobs, as well as job search tips.
  • Education and Training – detailed programs of study, linked to career profiles and specific institutions.
  • Assessment Tools – self-assessments you or your patrons can use to identify careers that fit interests, skills, and values.
  • My MassCIS Portfolio –a resume builder, plus quick access to favorite profiles, assessment results, and job search documents.
